Fresh choices made easier to cook

Daily local catches

Changing local landings bring fresh seasonal fish to the counter.

A broader selection

Sourced species add useful choice when local boats land fewer varieties.

Prepared for your recipe

We can fillet, clean, gut or leave your chosen fish whole.

Choose fish that suits your meal

Fresh local fish arrives daily, but the catch naturally changes with weather, fishing activity and the season. We supplement local landings with sourced species, helping you find a practical choice even when fewer varieties come ashore. The changing range can include lemon sole, Dover sole, sea bass, mackerel, sardines, herring, whiting, haddock, cod, plaice, huss, skate and dab. Wet fish is inspected, cleaned and gutted at sea before we prepare it for you in Dungeness. Tell us how many people you're feeding and how you plan to cook, and we'll help you decide between a whole fish, fillets or ready-sized portions.

Seasonal value with preparation included

Current offers make it easier to plan everyday suppers or stock the freezer. Three whole plaice cost £5, while local herrings are £3.50 per lb or £10 for 4 lb. Wild sea bass is £9.95 per lb and can be supplied whole or filleted. Squid is £6 per box, and frozen mackerel is £1.50. Availability can change quickly, so a telephone order is useful when you need a particular species or quantity. We can also discuss grilling, baking or frying and prepare the fish accordingly, leaving less work for you at home.

Frequently asked questions

Which fresh fish will be available when we visit?

The selection changes with the season, weather and local fishing activity. We may have sole, bass, mackerel, herring, cod, plaice or other species. Call before travelling if you need a particular fish, quantity or size.

Should we buy whole fish or prepared fillets?

That depends on your recipe and confidence with preparation. Whole fish can suit roasting or grilling, while fillets are convenient for quick frying, baking and portioning. Tell us your plans and we'll prepare your choice accordingly.

Can we reserve fish at a current offer price?

You can call to check whether the fish and offer are still available and reserve the quantity you need. Seasonal stock can sell quickly, so ordering ahead is sensible when you're planning for several diners or a set date.
